BOLSTA RAFFLES – AGE POLICY

Bolsta Raffles (operated by Bolsta Fundraising Pty Ltd) is a digital raffle platform available to not-for-profit organisations as a fundraising tool. Bolsta seeks to involve people of all ages in fundraising activities whilst being compliant with legislative requirements for running raffles in each Australian state and territory.

All users of the Bolsta Raffles platform will be required to declare their age and if under the age of 16 will be required to supply a date of birth. Based on the declared age of the user, access to the Bolsta Raffles platform may be declined or some functions may be disabled.

Age Related Features

• Pledging – A function allowing the collection of contact details from a potential buyer. The buyer will be contacted via email with instructions on how to fulfil their pledge by making their payment online at a time of their choosing.
• Juniors and Helpers – Functions allowing an Administrator to list younger children (Juniors) as participants in a Bolsta Raffles campaign so that they can then enlist others (Helpers) to sell tickets on their behalf.

Age Restrictions for Selling Tickets

• Age 16 years or older – May use all functions on the Bolsta Raffles app without restriction.
• Age 15 years or younger – The Bolsta Raffles app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store to any child that is of sufficient age to own an Apple or Google account in their own name according to the respective age policies for Apple and Google. They will however be restricted to the QR code function and Pledging function and will not have the ability to collect payment details directly from a buyer.
• Should a child not be of sufficient age to own an Apple or Google account, they can be added to the raffle by an Administrator as a Junior, and are able to recruit Helpers to sell tickets on their behalf.

Age Restrictions for being an Administrator

You must be over the age of 18 years old in order to become an Administrator on the Bolsta Raffles platform.
